The A D Metro ULTRA CP touch sensor combines the strength and durability of its trademark armored glass resistive sensor with the optical enhancement of a circular polarizer. The combined stack in the new Sunlight Readable configuration incorporates a circular polarizer with retarder, matched with an optically compatible ITO PET film. The front touch surface remains a durable borosilicate glass with optional anti-reflective or anti-glare coatings.
ULTRA CP offers the ideal touch solution for environments requiring crystal clear visibility in difficult light conditions, including direct sunlight, while maintaining the durable and tough rugged field performance not previously possible with conventional film polarizer or anti-reflective sensors. The ULTRA CP carries over all the benefits from the original ULTRA glass armored resistive sensors, including a high resistance to scratches and abrasions, expanded environmental performance, and the other advantages afforded by the reliable and flexible resistive technology.

Applications
There are many applications that are best suited to resistive sensor technology, whereby the sensor and bezel can be hermetically sealed, the sensor is not affected by or emits EMI signals, is pressure activated and is not affected by dirt, water droplet or insects.
